The summer camps in the municipality of Chisinau will open on June 1. As last year, the parents will pay only 20% of the price of tickets. The orphans and children from socially deprived families will rest in summer camps free of charge, Info-Prim Neo reports. The head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb Wednesday said there will work three types of camps – 34 days camps in schools, three permanent camps (“Poenita Vesela”, “Alunelul”, and “Ciresarii”) and a number of camps that will be contracted to provide services by a tender contest that will take place in the last decade of May. The fourth municipal camp “Neptun” was closed owing to the unsatisfactory conditions there. More than 19,000 children are expected to go to camps this summer. 21.5 million lei will be allocated from the local budget for organizing the rest in summer camps.
