Summer camp for gifted children from Chisinau will open in Iasi next year
A summer camp for children from the municipality of Chisinau that will have good results at school could be opened in the municipality of Iasi next summer, the member of the Romanian Parliament and chairman of the Democratic Party’s Municipal Organisation Iasi, Petru Movila told the Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca at a meeting in Chisinau.
The Romanian official informed the mayor that another future plan is to organise the Moldovan Wine Festival in Iasi.
The cited source said that he came to the capital of Moldova to familiarise himself with the situation in Chisinau and to establish friendship relations with the new administration of the municipality. The Romanian deputy said that the authorities of the two cities, Iasi and Chisinau, can work out joint projects in different areas in order to re-establish the economic ties. Petru Movila stressed that the Romanian authorises planned to open a parliamentary office in Chisinau to enable access to information for the people and for the businessmen that perform entrepreneurial activities in Romania. The chairman of the Democratic Party’s Municipal Organisation Iasi announced the intention to return to this idea.
Dorin Chirtoaca said for his part that the two municipalities can implement joint projects with resources from European organisations as part of the EU-Moldova neighbourhood programmes and as part of the Lower Prut Euroregion. The Mayor of Chisinau also said that the municipality of Iasi has considerably developed in the last years.
The interlocutors agreed to examine the projects to which they referred so as to start their implementation in the near future.
