Termoelectrica, which is the main electricity and heat producers of the country and heat producer in the municipality of Chisinau, employs about 1,800 persons, approximately 30% of whom are women. In a video, the company presents inspiring stories of its female employees, IPN reports.
“We are proud of each lady apart as they are for us a model to be followed and they inspire us daily. We invite you to discover several inspirational stories of women of Termoelectrica, who built a successful career in the thermoelectric sector,” the supplier says in a press release.
Eudochia Berezan, boiler section operator at the West Thermoelectric Plant, said this is rather a male profession and initially she was treated with distrust by the men. But she is a fighter and is courageous and could show to the men that they can trust her.
Ecaterina Juravliova, machinist at Source II, related that a shift lasts for 12 hours and it is not at all easy, but she got used.
Tatiana Rolin, machinist at Source II, noted that she if afraid of height, fire and water and her work implies great pressure. But her daily work helps her overcome her fears.
“I always dreamt of becoming a cosmetologist, but my parents advised me to try something else, in the technical sphere. I ultimately stated work at Termoelectrica. It is rather hard work in fact. But we, the women, are strong and can cope with all the challenges,” stated another female employee of the company.
