The decision of the National Council of the Liberal Party (PL) not to vote in Vlad Filat as Premier for a new term is a consistent one, said Igor Botan, director of the Association for Participatory Democracy ADEPT. Contacted by IPN, the analyst said the subtleties of the PL’s consistency can be only guessed. According to him, the Liberal leader Mihai Ghimpu wants to show the people that the PL has principles and values.

”In our names the three leaders hold meetings in secret. There is no need for speculations already as the political leaders crossed all the red lines, while their behavior is no longer rational,” said Igor Botan.

According to the analyst, they already started to use discrediting materials and this is a much more dangerous part. The Moldovan politicians do not have experience and do not know how to handle such a conflict. The voters should understand what makes these parries different and act based on these differences.

In the March 31 meeting of the PL’s National Council, the Liberals pleaded for the formation of the Alliance for European Integration – 3, together with the PDM and PLDM, but the PLDM must put forward another caudate for premiership. According to Mihai Ghimpu, if the PLDM insists that Vlad Filat should be Prime Minister again, they will have to assume responsibility for causing early legislative elections.
