Substitute candidates for MP range from district heads to unemployed persons

The parliamentary parties’ lists of substitute candidates for the post of member of the Moldovan Parliament contain known and not very known persons on the national political arena. The lists were published in the Official Gazette on the same day when the Constitutional Court validated the seats of MP and the composition of the legislative body. These candidates will be used as replacements if some of their MP colleagues leave the Parliament to hold a governmental post for example, Info-Prim Neo reports. The first ten substitutes on behalf of the Communists Party include the head of the Tax Inspectorate in Sangerei Valeriu Muduc, eight former Communist MPs - Veaceslav Bondari, Gheorghe Popa, Nicolae Munteanu, Anatol Gorila, Iurie Eriomin, Mihai Poleanschi, Lidia Semenitcaia, Serghei Afanasenco, who is a lathe operator, and the deputy head of the party’s electoral staff Vladimir Telnov. The first ten substitute candidates of the Liberal Democratic Party are: the president of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Moldova Ghenadie Ciobanu, economist Veaceslav Negruta, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Moldovaschie Vedomosti Dumitru Ciubasenco, the president of the youth organization of the PLDM Gheorghe Mocanu, company directors Ivan Ionas and Nicolae Olaru, manager Grigore Cobzac, unemployed agronomist Nicolae Concescu, and teachers Tudor Deliu and Lilia Bolocan. The Liberal Party’s list of substitutes includes jurist Ion Cebanu, the mayor of Floreni village of Anenii Noi district Valeriu Munteanu, the head of the Chisinau Construction Division Ana Vasilache, lawyer Ion Casian, jurist Alexandru Arseni, the president of the Helsinki Committee for Human Rights Stefan Uratu, the head of Chisinau’s Rascani district Mihai Carlig, and teachers Lilian Carp and Ion Apostol. The substitutes of the Democratic Party (PD) are: politologist and PD activist Oazu Nantoi, the president of the Union of Oenologists of Moldova Gheorghe Arpetin, the head of laboratory at the Oncological Institute Valentina Stratan, the mayor of Hancesti town Vladimir Rotaru, the vice president of Orhei district Vladimir Rotaru, company directors Oleg Sarbu, Vladimir Blisciac, Iurie Andriuta and Aureliu Filipp, and the USAID consultant Dona Scola. The Moldova Noastra Alliance fielded the following substitute candidates: the head of Straseni district Nicolae Roibu, the head of Ialoveni district Mihail Silistraru, the former MPs Alexandru Oleinic, Valeriu Cosarciuc, Ion Gutu, Anatol Onceanu and Victor Osipov, the deputy mayor of Chisinau Mihai Furtuna, sports manager Valentin Chepteni, and the councilor with the Council of Europe Natalia Reu, Info-Prim Neo informs.
