Socially vulnerable persons from Chișinău can submit, starting September 1, applications for the compensation of energy and other utility bills for the 2018-2019 cold season, IPN reports.

The Chișinău City Hall informs that eligible beneficiaries are families whose monthly incomes over the past 12 months were lower than 3,000 lei per person. Compensations to vulnerable persons for their bills within the municipality will be granted until September 1, 2019.

Persons who own two or more residences within the municipality of Chișinău cannot receive such financial support.

Compensation applications shall be submitted to municipal residential fund management enterprises (nr. 1-23), to residence fund managers (Condominium Co-ownership Associations, Privatized Residence Owner Associations, Department Residence Blocks and Residential Construction Cooperatives), to District Head’s Offices – for residents of corresponding districts, to town halls, villages (communes) within the municipality of Chișinău – for residents of corresponding administrative territories.

Citizens who have received compensations from the Chișinău City Hall in the previous heating season will submit petitions to re-confirm that the monthly incomes of their families haven’t risen and that the compositions of said families have not changed.

Alongside support for heating expenses, vulnerable families also receive compensation for the increase in prices for waste management, as well as for payments on added water consumption bills.
