Students with average grade of 9.01 in bachelor exam will be admitted to master programs without contest

The holders of a bachelor’s diploma with a general average grade of at least 9.01 will be able to study for a master’s degree at Moldovan universities without taking part in the admission contest. This is provided in the regulations concerning the organization of higher studies for a master’s degree, cycle II, which were approved by the Cabinet today, IPN reports.

The regulations provide that the admission contest will be open to Moldovan citizens and also to foreigners and stateless persons with a bachelor’s diploma who will study based on interstate agreements and individual learning contracts. The higher education establishments will work out admission plans for each master degree program of study.

The program will at least 20% consist of specialty courses/modules different from the other master degree programs of the same area.

For citizens who work full-time, the document stipulates general provisions concerning master degree programs taught at part-time education institutions. Also, in the context of internationalization of higher education, detailed provisions were introduced concerning internal and external mobility of persons studying for a master’s degree.
