The first Baccalaureate exam - the language of learning - will be taken on June 2. Adrian Ghicov, director of the Assessment and Examination Agency, told a news conference on May 30 that in the morning of every exam, the head and secretary of the Baccalaureate center will come before the students with the tests enclosed in envelopes, Info-Prim Neo reports. Adrian Ghicov said that every student will receive a personalized test. The Ministry of Education has an electronic database that makes a connection between the test paper, the personal data of the candidate and the personal data and signature of the assessing teacher, on the basis of which the student’s grade is determined. The database will prevent the incorrect assessment of the test paper. Minister of Education Mihai Shleahtitski said that 31,585 students will take Baccalaureate exams. There will be 1,200 assessing teachers and about 4,000 observers. “We will involve a large number of specialists who will supervise the examination process,” said the minister. He added that this year the Ministry of Education signed again an agreement with the Center for Combating Corruption and Economic Crime in order to prevent certain situations. The Center’s deputy head Gheorghe Rusu said that if the Center’s employees are notified of violations, they will take steps to identity them. If the violations are committed by one person, this person will be examined separately. If more persons from one hall are involved, the exam may be halted. The second Baccalaureate exam – the foreign language - will be taken on June 6, the exam in the specialty on June 9, while the exam in the chosen subject on June 13. There will be set up 175 Baccalaureate centers.
