The educational process at all the education institutions of the country will not be resumed during the period of the state of emergency, which was instituted until May 15. An order to this effect was made by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, IPN reports.

Under the order, the educational process at public and private, early, primary, secondary, technical vocational and higher education institutions, extracurricular and special education institutions will remain suspended in connection with the measures taken by the authorities to contain the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

The managers of education institutions of all levels, public and private, will continue to organize the distance educational process by using information and communication technology in the period until May 15.

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research calls on the educational community to show responsibility and solidarity. The educational process at all the educational institutions was suspended on March 11.

A state of emergency for 60 days over the novel coronavirus outbreak was declared in Moldova on March 17.
