Students will compete for budget-funded places after every summer session
The budget-funded places at universities will be distributed after every summer session. The students who obtained a budget-funded place will lose it if they do not have good grades. The relevant changes were approved by a Government Decision on March 7, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The Ministry of Education, which drafted the changes, said that the budget-funded places until now were distributed on admission and the students continued to benefit from them while studying, even if they had poor grades. At the same time, the students with better grades had to pay tuition up to the last year of studies.
Since the summer of 2014, the higher education institutions after every summer session will announce contests to allot the budget-funded places, except for the places intended for persons with the first- and second-invalidity degree and orphans.
