The transportation of students to and from educational institutions, from their native localities and from transited localities, over distances that exceed 2 kilometers will be free of charge. The Cabinet approved the regulations on the transportation of students, IPN reports.
According to the document, the students will be transported by buses or minibuses owned, managed or used by local education divisions, local public authorities or the educational institution. Also, the students could be transported by buses or minibuses of a licensed carrier.
During the trip, the students must be accompanied by a person chosen and named by the local education division or the educational institution, usually a teacher. The responsible person will benefit from a specific bonus.
The Ministry of Education and Research makes reference to the 451 educational institutions to which children from 1, 112 localities are transported.
