The winter vacation of the 2024-2025 school year will last for 15 days, from December 25 to January 8 inclusive. Before the vacation, students will be trained about security measures, IPN reports.

The authorities' recommendations for a safe holiday are to avoid traveling through areas with icicles or heavy traffic, avoid traveling on water pools and wear light-colored clothing to be more visible in headlights after dark.

Parents are advised to discuss with children how they might react if they get lost. Children should be taught their home address and parents' telephone number.

Chisinau's out-of-school institutions will be active during the holiday, and creative centers for schoolchildren have drawn up action plans that include themed activities: entertaining shows, competitions, creative workshops, exhibitions, sports competitions and excursions in Chisinau.
