Students to learn fire safety rules
In the new academic year, students will learn more about the threats posed by fire.
All the educational establishments will include in their curricula courses on fire prevention and protection rules, prepared by the Ministry of Education and Youth in concert with the Emergency Situations Department.
The course will be taught as part of homeroom classes for the grades I-IV; V-XII, in colleges, vocational schools and universities. The students will learn how to prevent and extinguish fires, and to provide first aid to victims.
According to the Firefighters and Rescuers Division of the Department for Emergencies, in the first six months of the year, on the territory of the country there were registered 1906 fires, which killed 118 persons, including 6 children.
