Students of Ion Creanga University will pay a visit to Romanian Royal Family
A group of 30 students and lecturers of the History and Ethnopedagogy Department of the State Pedagogical University "Ion Creanga" in Chisinau will be received by the Romanian Royal Family at the Elisabeth Palace on Wednesday, September 19, the Romanian press quotes a communiqué from the Press Office of King Mihai of Romania.
The management of the education establishment could not give more details about the aim and agenda of the visit.
“The meeting between the representatives of the Chisinau History Department and His Majesty King Mihai I of Romania has a special importance for the bilateral relations between the two states and for the professional formation of these young Moldovan historians,” the communiqué from the King’s Press Office says.
Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, the rector of the State University "Ion Creanga" and the pro-rectors on Education and Science said they know nothing about this meeting.
The History and Ethnopedagogy Department dean Nicolae Chicu confirmed that he agreed to students’ travel to Romania. He said that the students will be accompanied by two teachers, but could not give details about the programme.
