Students of Boarding School No. 3 will live in dorm after graduation

The students of the Chisinau-based Boarding School No. 3 will be able to live in a dormitory of the institution after graduation. On May 15, the Chisinau Municipal Council approved the creation of a temporary accommodation hostel for young people in the post-institutional period, Info-Prim Neo reports. The head of the General Division of Education, Youth and Sport Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb said the project applies to graduates of the ninth grade who continue their studies, but encounter difficulties in integrating into society and do not have a place to live. “The project refers to children aged 16 from socially underprivileged families or under guardianship. If they study, they will be able to live in the dorm until they turn 20,” she stated. Tatiana Nagnibeda-Tverdohleb also said that the number of students in the temporary accommodation hostel will depend on the number of graduates. The local public authorities will maintain the building and pay the two night-shift educators and two social workers who will monitor the situation during the day. The competent commission of the Chisinau Council proposed setting up a temporary accommodation hostel also for the Boarding School No. 2, which is situated in Botanica district. There are about 300 students at the Boarding School No. 3.
