The scholarships for students of arts boarding schools and for fourth-ninth graders of the National Choreography College will be by 5% higher as of January 1, 2018 based on the indexation of prices of goods and services, IPN reports, with reference to a Government decision.

Following the rise, the performance scholarships of the first category will be 335 lei for second-fourth graders, 500 lei for fifth-ninth graders and 640 lei for tenth-twelfth graders.

The scholarships of the second category will be 320 lei, 420 lei and, respectively, 525 lei, while the scholarship of the third category intended for talented students of the tenth-twelfth grades will be 480 lei.

The special scholarship will be 500 lei.

To implement this decision, including by recalculating the scholarships as of January 1, 2018, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will additional allocate 75,800 lei.
