Students from six districts will learn how to give sense to money

Students from Cahul, Chisinau, Cimișlia, Fălești, Hîncești and Rezina will learn to give sense to money during online public lessons that will be taught by eight financial literacy ambassadors. These were chosen at a public contest and were trained in the framework of the project “Given Sense to Money” that is implemented by the National Bank of Moldova and the Independent Think Tank “Expert-Grup”, IPN reports, quoting the NBM.

The eight persons are from the given districts. They will tell current or former lyceum or university mates about the financial system, inflation, loans, cashless payments and other subjects. The first lesson was held at the Center of Excellence in Energy and Electronics of Chisinau on March 23 and was given by Victor Grigoraș, student of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM).

ASEM students Teodora Dolghieru and Ioan Negoița combined forces to tell their younger colleagues about financial education. The series of lessons held this week will end with the lesson of ASEM student Daniel Madan, who will organize training for his former colleagues of the Theoretical Lyceum “Mihai Eminescu” of Fălești.

The financial education project “Give Sense to Money” was launched in March 2019 with the aim of increasing understating of the main financial concepts and products among the young people.
