Students from all districts won medals at national Olympiads

Students from all the districts of Moldova obtained by at least one award at the national Olympiads this year. A number of 403 students won diplomas of the first, second and third degrees, while 261 students were awarded mention diplomas, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communique from the Ministry of Education. As many as 3,000 ninth-twelfth graders from all the districts of Moldova, including Transnistria, took part in the Olympiads. The students from the municipality of Chisinau won the largest number of medals and diplomas - about 300. The students who were awarded at national and international contests are admitted to the national universities without contest, within the available number of budget-funded places. Those who won medals at the international Olympiads are accepted at the faculties of their choice, while the winners of the national Olympiads – at the specialties in which they were awarded. The national Olympiads were held between March and May.
