Representatives of the National Student Council called upon the students who will take Baccalaureate exams not to copy and to use their own forces so as to get the deserved marks, IPN reports.
In a news conference on May 30, the students called on civil society to subscribe to the messages concerning the quality of pre-university studies. Council member Marius Chirtoaca said the students must be responsible and make correct choices for their career.
Within the campaign “Don’t copy”, conducted by the National Student Council, the students will disseminate motivation pictures and movies through social networking sites. Together with personalities, they created a video by which they transmit the secret of success and simple methods of getting high-ranking posts.
“Within this camion, the students are informed by banners, messages on social networking sites and messages from teachers, which warn against copying. They know that this is the result of their work. Students must realize that copying is not an advantage for their future career,” said Council member Adriana Tofan.
As to the methods by which the authorities are trying to eliminate cheating in Baccalaureate exams, the students have different opinions. “Those who go to the Baccalaureate exams to copy, copy. The metal detectors and surveillance cameras do not inconvenience me, but my colleagues are against because they want to copy. The teachers warned us about the consequences and we assume responsibility,” said a student of the Theoretical Lyceum “George Calinescu”.
The campaign “Don’t copy” plays an educative role, being supported by teachers and parents of students. It forms part of the national integrity campaign against corruption and discrimination.
