A 17-year-old teen fell from the third floor of the dorm where he lives. The dorm is situated on Burebista St in Botanica district of Chisinau, IPN reports.

An ambulance was called at midnight. According to the spokesman for the National Emergency Medicine Center Petru Cravet, the teen suffered severe polytrauma, a brain injury, a concussion and a fracture of the right shank.

After he was given first aid, the young man was taken to the Mother and Child Institute for medical treatment and examinations. The circumstances of the fall are yet to be established.

Contacted by IPN, the head of the Chisinau Police Division’s press service Adrian Jovmir said that mates of the young man related that the teen was under the influence of alcohol. He tried to pass to the neighboring balcony, but slipped and fell. In order to question the minor, the investigators are waiting for his parents to come to Chisinau from Soroca.
