Street marking under way in Chisinau
The Chisinau streets started to be marked. The crosswalks near education institutions were the first to be painted, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Efim Cheptanaru, head of the road maintenance company “Exdrupo”, Tuesday said that the crosswalks and the lane lines will be painted simultaneously.
He also said that 10 tonnes of paint have been initially bought from Austria, but there will be needed about 20 tonnes of paint more. The paint is of a high quality and is used to mark the streets in other European countries as well, Efim Cheptanaru stated.
A sum of 2.5 million lei was earmarked in the 2011 local budget for marking the streets.
