Street food cooked in unsafe conditions at two kebab outlets in Chisinau

Inspectors from the Chisinau Public Health Center found that Doner kebab dishes at two outlets on Testemitanu Street were cooked in unsafe conditions, the Center said in a press release. At both locations, kebab and shawarma dishes, as well as the salads and sauces to them were being prepared in conditions that did not met sanitary standards. Their administrators failed to produce documents confirming the purchase of the products and the personnel didn't have medical certificates. At one location, the meat, the mayonnaise and other sauces were being kept on simple shelves instead of being kept in fridges. Further, the two outlets were selling other foods in addition to those for which they were authorized. Administrative fines were imposed on the outlets' administrators.
