Strategic Partnership with Moldova on Romanian Supreme Council of Defense’s agenda

The opportunities offered by the new geopolitical context for strengthening the Strategic Partnership with the Republic of Moldova and also the ensuring of the irreversibility of the European path are to be discussed at the meeting of the Supreme Council of National Defense that was convened by the President of Romania Klaus Iohannis for September 19, IPN reports.

The members of the Supreme Council are also to discuss the National Plan for the Implementation of the Civil Pact in the field of the Common Security and Defense Policy and the Romanian Army Equipment Plan for 2025-2034.

Among the issues on the Council’s agenda are also the stage and prospects of the conflict in Ukraine following the illegal and unjustified aggression of the Russian Federation and the implications for Romania.
