Soprano Maria Procopenco and pianist Bogdana Grecova have recently cooperated to bring the public a new carol - "Ler for parents". This creation aims to touch the hearts of listeners, offering them a moment of tranquility and deep emotion, especially during this holiday season, IPN reports.

The author specifies that this musical creation is more than a simple carol. It is a tribute to the unconditional love for parents and the special bond we have with them.

"When I heard this carol for the first time, I immediately felt that it was something very special. Each note seemed to carry a deep and personal message," says Maria Procopenco, a member of the Experimental Studio of the Bucharest National Opera and ArtPulse Association.

For pianist Bogdana Grecova, of the Bucharest National Opera, the composer and pianist who brought this piece to life, this release means more than an artistic project. 

"Ler for parents” is not just a carol, it is a part of my soul, transposed into music. His story begins in 2019, when I participated with this song at the "Ars Adolescentina" Carol Contest in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova", said Bogdana Grecova.

The lyrics of the carol are inspired by the poems of Zina Izbaș, member of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Moldova and member of the Union of Journalists, but also of the Union of Professional Journalists of Romania.

"Destiny brought on my path Mrs. Zina Izbaș, who offered me a book with her poems. Reading one of them, I felt how the lyrics get sound, how the music starts to flow naturally from the words. The song appeared in my mind as a gift, and since then I knew I had to share it with the world", confessed Bogdana Grecova.

The process of making this piece was a team effort, and the contribution of each artist involved was essential. Along with Maria Procopenco and Bogdana Grecova, the process involved conductor Smaranda Morgovan, together with the impressive Children's Choir of the Bucharest National Opera, which she has been directing since 1986. 

The pure energy and enthusiasm of the children turned each rehearsal into a magical experience, especially since these children participate in multiple shows on the stage of the most prestigious opera house in Romania, the Bucharest National Opera.

The premiere of the carol "Ler for parents" took place on December 18 at the Christmas concert organized by the Children's Choir of the Bucharest National Opera together with soloists and employees of the Bucharest National Opera and the Romanian National Opera Cluj-Napoca.
