Stepaniuc leaves United Moldova Party
MP Victor Stepaniuc has defected from the United Moldova Party. On September 9, he said he will soon announce what party he decided to join, Info-Prim Neo reports.
On September 5, Stepaniuc was seen in the company of the Democrat leader Marian Lupu, who was earlier his colleague in the Communists Party.
Marian Lupu avoided giving a clear answer when asked if Victor Stepaniuc might join the Democratic Party. “We are having discussions at the level of personalities. The aims and reasons are now much more important. We hold dialogues with entire political parties. We are not the only party that conducts such negotiations.” he said.
The leader of the United Moldova Party Vladimir Turcan did not comment on Victor Stepaniuc's defection.
