Stepan Dimitrov has won a new tournament in his career. The Moldovan wrestler won gold in the fifth Turkish Open Taekwondo Tournament held in Istanbul, IPN reports.

On the way to the final, Dimitrov beat France’s Kyliann Bonnet, Russia’s Gulzhigit Kochkorbaev, Mertcan Dolmaci of Turkey and Moroccan wrestler Omar Lakrhal. In the final of the 58 kg weight class, he needed overtime to score a victory against Irish wrestler Jack Woolley, whom he defeated 12-10.

The tournament involved 1 900 athletes from 58 countries.
