The obstetrics and gynecology department of the Ștefan Vodă District Hospital has better conditions for women and newborns thanks to a renovation effort supported financially by the United States Government.
The building that houses the department hadn’t seen any extensive repair in five decades. According to the Ministry of Health, the renovation covered the delivery rooms, wards for pregnant women and women with gynecological conditions, the newborn intensive care room, the procedure room, among others.
“A smart medical institution must provide a high level of satisfaction first of all to its employees, motivating them to improve their knowledge and look for new solutions to the problems of the institution and the creation of conditions for patients. As a result, high-standard medical services will appear, which will contribute to patient satisfaction”, the Ștefan Vodă District Hospital said in a statement.
The renovation cost $300,000.
