Romanian coach Ștefan Stoica took over the national Under-21 football team of Moldova from Alexandru Guzun, who trained the team on an interim basis and secured a memorable victory in the encounter with Belgium in the previous preliminaries, IPN reports.

Ștefan Stoica trained the similar team at the end of 2015 too. In Moldova he also managed Milsami, Zimbru and Zaria. As a player, he became champion of Romania with Universitatea Craiova in 1991.

He will make his debut in an official match on June 4, in a fixture with Wales, of the2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.
