The president of the Party of Change Ștefan Gligor, who signaled the first case of violation of the national vaccination plan, said he knew that the Republic of Moldova is a state based on nepotism, but everything has a limit, IPN reports.
In an interview for RFE/RL’s Moldovan Service, Ștefan Gligor said that from the start there were suspicions that the vaccines allotted to doctors and medical personnel would be used to vaccinate chiefs, their relatives, businessmen and others and this turned out to be true. The first conclusion of this unfavorable discovery is to do so that something like this does not repeat. These 700-800 persons are not critical for the vaccination process, but it is important to draw conclusions here and the law enforcement bodies should carry out checks to determine the accountability level.
“I know, including from first-hand reports from the northern districts, that in Edineț district, and also in other districts, they asked for only 222 doses of Pfizer vaccine so that place for 200 doses of Sputnik V vaccine remains when Sputnik V comes to Moldova and this is done to enable the Party of Socialists, which enjoys great support in the northern districts, to use PR. You saw that the first thing done by Dodon after the declaring of the state of emergency was to leave for Russia where he negotiated 180,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine. When you realize that the Party of Socialists and Igor Dodon use political PR based on the lives and deaths of people, you realize how miserable the system is. These people should be driven away,” stated the politician.
He noted that as the prosecution service is unable to penalize such cases, holding snap parliamentary elections, no matter how much they cost, and electing an upright Parliament, an upright majority that would name a professional government to work are the only solution.
According to him, besides the vaccination of the primary risk groups, the vaccination process should be popularized as there is a campaign aimed at discrediting immunization to which n reaction follows.
Ștefan Gligor also criticized the measures taken to declare the state of emergency, saying such a move is humiliating and offensive. The given measures could have been instituted by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission without declaring the state of emergency.
