European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Štefan Füle had a joint meeting with the leaders and several other representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and the Democratic Party (PDM) at the end of his private visit to Chisinau, in the evening of May 19. Representatives of the EU Delegation to Moldova have told IPN that the discussions centered on the relationship between Moldova and the EU.

During his visit to Moldova, Štefan Füle also met with President Nicolae Timofti, the leader of the Liberal Party Mihai Ghimpu, the leader of the Socialists Igor Dodon and with acting Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Eugen Carpov.

In a news conference held jointly with the European official, Nicolae Timofti said he asked Štefan Füle to discuss the creation of a parliamentary majority that is needed to invest a new Government with the political leaders.
