Representatives of the capital's City Hall and embassies accredited to the Republic of Moldova have planted trees on the street alignment of Stefan cel Mare boulevard, IPN reports.
The planted trees are new and resistant species. "We want Chisinau to be one of the greenest capitals of Europe in a very short time", said Mayor Ion Ceban.
In the coming period, trees will also be planted in other public spaces: parks and forest strips in Chisinau.
