Stauceni architect-engineer suspected of traffic of influence
The architect-engineer of Stauceni mayor's office is investigated for traffic of influence, Info-Prim Neo reports
According to a communique from the Anticorruption Center, the engineer asked 3,000 lei from a person for helping him obtain an urbanism certificate for a construction. He said he has influence over members of the Stauceni Council and can make them take a decision in his favor.
The 36-year-old engineer was arrested on February 15. The money marked 'bribe' was found in his office. The servant faces up to seven years in jail or a fine of up to 60,000 lei over influence peddling.
The Center says four cases of corruption in the local public administration have been discovered so far this year. There were arrested three mayors and an architect-engineer.
