Statements after new Transnistrian leader’s visit to Moscow

The new leader of Transnistria Vadim Krasnoselski paid his first official visit abroad to Moscow. On his return, he said that in the official meetings he had in the capital of Russia, he discussed the Transnistrian conflict settlement as well. Krasnoselski assured that the negotiations in the 5+2 format will continue, IPN reports.

As regards the foreign economic relations, Tiraspol intends to develop the cooperation with the states of the Eurasian Economic Union. A priority is to foster trade and strengthen the integrationist economic relations with Russia.

The Transnistrian leader confirmed the composition and configuration of the executive power. There will be 12 so-called ministries, nine public services and two committees in the region. The so-called Ministry of State Security that existed until 2011 will be restored. This will work as a separate body, as the so-called state document and archive management service.

The so-called state culture service will be expanded and will be also responsible for the historical heritage. The so-called Ministry of Regional Development will be renamed the Ministry of Industry and Regional Development. There will also be created a new state body, for ecological and environmental inspection.
