The Moldova State University (USM) fully supports and actively participates in the achievement of the European path of the Republic of Moldova. In a statement, the institution notes that the European integration and the fulfillment of the European vocation of the people of the Republic of Moldova is expressed through socio-economic and politico-legal modernization of the country, aiming at building the rule of law and an inclusive society, IPN reports.

“The decision to open negotiations on the acquis communautaire represents a unique chance to join the political family of European states, reconfirming the geopolitical and cultural-civilizational belonging of the Republic of Moldova to the European democratic space. This process requires the mobilization of social energies and maximum efforts from the entire society,” reads the USM’s statement.

The USM senators welcome the decision by representatives of a number of political parties to launch and sign the “Pact for Europe” - an initiative to support the Republic of Moldova’s European path. According to them, this initiative represents the expression of political maturity and responsibility for achieving the people’s aspiration to integrate into the European space based on democratic and prosperous rules.

“The State Moldova University, as a consistent and indisputable promoter of the Republic of Moldova’s European integration, welcomes this edifying initiative and supports the “Pact for Europe,” runs the statement.
