State to privatize property worth 1.3bn lei

State-owned property to the value of 1.3 billion lei will be privatized this year. In a press release, the Public Property Agency says a new privatization round will be held based on a number of legal instruments, IPN reports.

Eleven properties, including four state-run companies, six complexes of buildings and an unfinished building, will be exhibited at outcry auctions for 13.4 million lei. Bids can be submitted by March 21, while the auction will be held on March 22.

A commercial contest will be staged to privatize 13 properties, including 12 state-run companies (undividable patrimonial complexes) and a building, for a total price of 577.9 million lei. The deadline for submissions is March 30.

The cinemas in Falesti and Leova towns will be privatized by an investment contest at the initial selling price of 868,000 lei. Minimum investment of 1.8 million lei must be made during the next three years in these. The deadline for presenting bids is March 30.

Outcry auctions will be staged at the Moldova Stock Exchange during March 27 – 31 to sell 21 state-owned shareholdings estimated at 702 million lei.
