State to privatize property of over 1bn lei

Over the next two months, the state will put up for auction state-owned property to the value of over 1 million lei, IPN reports. According to a communiqué of the Ministry of Economy, a private tax of 1% of the transaction’s value is paid into the state budget after every transaction, IPN reports.

In the period between November 1 and December 12, applications can be filed to take part in investment contests for privatizing movie theaters in the towns of Glodeni, Telenesti, and Leova. The initial selling price of them is over 1.3 million lei, while the minimum volume of investments projected is 4.5 million lei.

In the period, there will be also held a commercial contest for selling state-owned shares in two joint stock companies and 21 state-run companies, including the purebred horse breeding farm “AT-Prolin” in Ceadir-Lunga town, the Polygraphic Complex in Chisinau, the Chisinau Hotel “Zarea” and the Sanatorium “Sanatate” in Ukraine’s Sergheevka.

An outcry auction will be held on November 28 to privatize 19 facilities, including four unfinished constructions and six undivided patrimonial complexes. The same day, there will take place a discount auction to sell six unfinished constructions situated in rural areas.

On December 16-20, there will be held an outcry auction to sell state-owned shares in 39 joint stock companies through the Stock Exchange. In 17 of them, the state holding is higher than 51%, including in S.A. “Aeroport Handling” (100%), S.A. “Aeroport Catering” (100%), S.A. “Armo-Beton” (100%), SA Farmaco” (94.614%), and SA „Floare-Carpet” (59.486%).
