The children with spine and thorax disorders will benefit from anatomic correction operations whose costs will be covered with money from mandatory health insurance funds.

The National Health Insurance Company said this year it will finance ten operations as part of the new special program “Anatomic correction of the backbone and thorax”. Over 507,000 lei will be spent on the operations, including on consumables. The surgeries will be performed at the Mother and Child Institute.

The spokesman for the Mother and Child Institute Maxim Cazacu has told IPN that there is no waiting list for such operations.
