State to cover costs of bringing Moldovan student who died in U.S. home
The Moldovan student who died in the United States was native of Ocnita. The young man heat his head when he jumped into a swimming pool during a party given by his employer on his son's birthday, Minister of Education Leonid Bujor told a news conference on June 2, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The student went to the U.S. through the agency of the program Work&Travel. Prime Minister Vlad Filat said the state will cover all the costs incurred to bring the body of the young man to Moldova, while his family will receive money for the burial ceremony.
The Premier asked the Embassy of Moldova in the United States to strictly monitor the students who stay in the U.S. during summer.
