State Registration Chamber changes its status
The State Registration Chamber will be transformed from state-owned company into public institution, Info-Prim Neo reports. Its status is modified through the amendments to the law on the state registration of legal entities and private entrepreneurs of October 19, 2007 approved by the Government on February 25.
Minister of Information Development Pavel Buceatchi said that the State Registration Chamber registers legal entities and private entrepreneurs and keeps the State Register of legal entities and private entrepreneurs, as stipulated in article 35 of the mentioned law. These are state regulation functions and should be performed by a public institution.
For the same reasons, an amendment that says that the State Registration Chamber public institution is financed from the state budget was introduced to the same law. The state registration tax and the money paid for other services and information regarding the registration of economic entities and private entrepreneurs provided by the Chamber will be transferred to the state budget.
Since founded in 1992, the State Registration Chamber had been a self-financed institution. Its work and salaries of the employees were covered from its own incomes. No money was allocated from the state budget.
