The State Register of Voters on September 1, 2017 consisted of 3 255 361 persons with the right to vote, IPN has learned from the Central Election Commission.

Of the total number, the women represent 52.67% (1 714 454), while the men 47.33% (1 540 907).

Most of the people eligible to vote - over 647,000 - are from Chisinau.

Of those included in the Register, 2 873 707 people are divided by constituencies. The rest are persons who have Moldovan nationality, but do not have a stated place of residence or domicile and citizens with the right to vote who are registered in the territorial-administrative units of Transnistria, which are temporarily outside the sovereign control of the Moldovan constitutional authorities.
