The state of public health emergency instituted until August 31 will be extended at least until September 15, Prime Minister Ion Chicu informed in the August 26 meeting of the Cabinet. He said the decision will be adopted by the National Extraordinary Public Health Commission that will convene later today, IPN reports.
“I want to call again on all the citizens to obey the sanitary-epidemiological rules during the coming nonworking days, during the remaining summer period. The number of new infections increased considerably. We expect to have new anti-records this week. We follow the number of persons referred to the triage center COVID-19. Please, be cautious,” stated Premier Chicu.
Moldova so far has got 34,358 cases of COVID-19 and 960 deaths associated with the novel coronavirus.
