The declaring of the state of emergency that is being considered in Parliament will not affect the holding of the new local mayoral elections set for November 21. A relevant amendment to the draft decision was adopted by the MPs, IPN reports.
The Government requested Parliament to declare a state of emergency in Moldova for a 30-day period in connection with the situation on the natural gas market.
On November 21, new local elections will take place in 15 settlements in Moldova, including Bălți.
