The Cabinet on Wednesday confirmed Cătălin Țacu as director of the State Labor Inspectorate. He will take up his duties on November 27, IPN reports.
According to Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu, Cătălin Țacu headed the Labor Relations Inspection Service of the Iasi Local Labor Inspectorate in Romania during 2012-2020. Until recently, he served as a project manager at the International Labor Organization, within a labor inspection reformation program in Georgia.
Also today, the Cabinet named two secretaries of state, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and at the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization. These are Cristina Gherasimov, who will start her job at the first institution on December 5, and Cristina Ceban, who will begin her job at the second institution on November 22.
Cristina Gherasimov is a bachelor of international relations and has a master’s and a doctor’s degree from international universities. Since 2021, she has worked as an adviser on foreign policy to the President of the Republic of Moldova.
Cristina Ceban is a bachelor of economics and of international relations. She graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. She also has a diploma of master of commercial management from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies. She headed the International Economic Cooperation Division of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization, being also in charge of the coordination of the European integration processes in the areas of responsibility of the Ministry.
