In the first eight months of this year, the Social Insurance Budget expended by 85.4 million lei more than earned, Info-Prim Neo reports. As of September 1, the Budget's balance, administrated by the National Social Insurance Corporation, stated 469.2 million lei. Social insurance contributions paid by salary earners totaled 3,392.3 million lei, which is 108.4% of the target. Government subsidies and transfers from the state budget constituted 589.8 million lei, in conformity with requests for financing. Interests and other incomes stood at 18.6 million lei, 129.2% of the forecast. Total expenditures in eight months came to 4,086.6 million lei, which is however, by 0.4% less than planned.
