Colonel Victor Tarna was appointed as director of the State Guard and Protection Service. A relevant decree was signed by President Nicolae Timofti on November 22. Victor Tarna was proposed for the post by Prime Minister Iurie Leanca, IPN reports.

Victor Tarna is 42. He has worked in the State Guard and Protection Service since 1996. He was born in Orhei, has higher education, is married and has two children. The presidential decree on his appointment as director of the Service came into force when it was signed.
