The Government will come up with a list of security guarantees and financial guarantees for prosecutors and judges who will take on complex cases. Prime Minister Dorin Recean said that these measures will protect them in the fight against criminals, IPN reports.
"It is important to ensure that corruption cases are examined as a priority, and the actions are firm and well targeted. Justice is not only about laws, but also about people and characters. I have to admit that we still don't have enough brave and dedicated people in the system. They are there, but only need to be encouraged," the head of the executive said at a press conference.
According to him, there are prosecutors and judges who are waiting to show their dedication, and in order to motivate them, the Government will come up with a list of guarantees. "Security guarantees and financial guarantees for prosecutors and judges who will take on difficult cases, complex cases so as to protect and support these prosecutors and judges in the fight against criminals. I’m confident that Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru will be able to ensure the fulfillment of these objectives," stated Dorin Recean.
The statements were made at the press conference at which the Prime Minister announced the Cabinet reshuffles. He noted that the justice sector will be further managed by Minister Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, and the vetting process will continue to create a genuine justice system, which will apply the law correctly and will fight corruption.
