In the context of the Commemoration Day of victims of all the totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, on Friday, August 23, at 09.55, the state flag of the Republic of Moldova will be at half-mast. At 10.00, a moment of silence will be held, and between 10.10 and 10.30 black ribbons will be offered to citizens.

Events will take place at the Government House, at the entrance from the Grand National Assembly Square.

The government declared the day of August 23 - the day of commemoration of the victims of all totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, such as Nazism, Stalinism, fascist and communist regimes. Prime Minister Maia Sandu called upon mass media to support this initiative and at 8 pm in the evening, when most citizens watch TV, to observe a minute of silence in the memory of those killed, deported, starved or tortured.
