The most popular border crossing points on the Moldovan-Ukrainian border were Otaci with over 98,000 crossings, and Valcinet with about 56,000 crossings. 53,000 crossings were recorded at the Leuseni border crossing point located on the Moldovan-Romanian frontier, about 35,000 crossings at the Sculeni and Giurgiulesti-Galati points each, and over 31,000 crossings at the Chisinau International Airport. 287,000 of the over 500,000 persons and vehicles entered Moldova. About 980,000 crossings were recorded at the border crossing points in December 2009, 670,000 of which at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border.
