President Nicolae Timofti handed over the Order of the Republic to singer Anastasia Lazariuc in recognition of her special accomplishments achieved in the art of music and for substantial contribution to promoting the national values and skillfulness in the performing arts, IPN reports.

The award ceremony was held on the Independence Day, on August 27.

The Order of Honor was also handed over to the governor of the Estonian region Laane-Virumaa Einar Vallbaum in gratitude for his significant contribution to developing the relations of friendship and cooperation between Estonia and Moldova.
