This year the Moldovans will benefit from more compensated drugs (whose price is partially paid by the state) than last year. The state will allocate by 20 million lei more for the purpose.
Compensated medicines to the value of 522 million lei will be issued in 2017, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health. The list of compensated drugs includes 140 titles.
About 230,000 patients benefitted from compensated treatment at home and in health facilities last year. Among the beneficiaries were 150,000 children.
A sum of 502 million lei was allocated for compensed drugs last year. Of this sum, 14 million lei was used for drugs intended for treating rare diseases.
